What are the benefits of TERA?
TERA provides a great opportunity to network with other practitioners in our field. The annual conference is a fabulous weekend filled of inspirational learning opportunities... all experiential! TERA encourages the Texas Chapters to sponsor play days and continuing educational opportunities to our members. You will receive quarterly newsletters, receive discounts to TERA functions and also discounts for participating vendors for skills reviews, equipment, trainings etc. But most of all...TERA is a great organization that likes to play hard, laugh out loud, learn lots, and just have fun together.

How was TERA started?
For the full history of TERA refer to the history page but for the short...TERA began in the living room of Cindi Walker, a well-known experiential education practitioner in Houston, TX in Nov. 1989. Cindi has always been known as the mother of TERA. She and a group of founding members developed a mission, created by-laws, and established TERA as a true network of local educators.
